As you enter Liseberg through the main (north) entrance, one of the first things you notice is the white carousel, moving counter-clockwise.

You cannot ride the carousel at the entrance. Go instead to the Children's paradise in the upper part of Liseberg and find the Blomsterkarusellen, where you can do a small investigation if you have a small cuddly toy hanging from a soft string.

As the carousel moves, pull the toy to the side and let go, so it swings freely (the hand holding the string should not move). Observe!
